TUTORIAL: Lampion (z upcyklingu)

Witajcie! Hello everyone!

Przyznacie, że już myślicie o świątecznych dekoracjach. W sklepach pełno jest różnorakich ozdób, można wybierać ile się chce. Dzisiaj proponuję wykonać niewielkim kosztem małe lampioniki na stół.                     

Z pewnością macie w domu małe słoiczki po różnych produktach i wyrzucacie je na śmietnik. 

A właśnie... pomyśl zanim wyrzucisz!

Zatem zapraszam na tutorial - jak przemienić słoik w lampion?

Admit it, you're already thinking about Christmas decorations. Stores are filled with various ornaments, offering plenty to choose from. Today, I suggest making small lanterns for the table at a low cost.

You probably have small jars at home from various products, and you might be throwing them away. But wait... think before you toss them out!

So, I invite you to a tutorial - how to transform a jar into a lantern?

Do zrobienia lampionu potrzebne będą:

- niewielki słoiczek (ja mam po jogurcie),

- "papier ryżowy" (mój zrobiony z cienkiego papieru po butach wg tutorialu: Papier ryżowy), 

- klej introligatorski, 

- pędzel,

- ozdoby wg uznania (u mnie: srebrna taśma, szydełkowe gwiazdki, srebrny kordonek, półperełki), 

- klej na gorąco.

To make the lantern, you'll need:

- A small jar (I'm using one from yogurt),

- 'Rice paper' (mine is made from thin shoe paper following the 'Rice Paper' tutorial),

- Bookbinding glue,

- A brush,

- Decorations of your choice (I'm using silver tape, crochet stars, silver cord, half pearls),

- Hot glue.

1. Z "papieru ryżowego" wycinam prostokąt o długości odpowiadającej obwodowi słoiczka oraz szerokości odpowiadającej wysokości słoiczka plus dodaję jeszcze ok. 2,5 cm na zawinięcie.

1. Cut a rectangle from the 'rice paper' with a length that matches the circumference of the jar and a width that matches the height of the jar, adding an extra approximately 2.5 cm for folding.

2. Przy użyciu pędzla smaruję cały słoiczek dookoła klejem. Przykładam "papier ryżowy" tak żeby od góry  i dołu zostawał margines papieru na zawinięcie pod spód i do środka słoiczka.  Dokładnie go dociskam         

i pozostawiam do wyschnięcia. 

2. Using the brush, apply glue all around the jar. Place the 'rice paper' so that there's a margin of paper to fold underneath and inside the jar, leaving some excess at the top and bottom. Press it carefully onto the jar, ensuring it's properly adhered, and leave it to dry.

3. Następnie klejem na gorąco przyklejam ozdobną taśmę.

3. Next, use hot glue to attach decorative tape.

4. Owijam słoiczek dookoła kordonkiem przyklejając go punktowo klejem na gorąco (zamiast kordonka może być ozdobny sznurek).

4. Wrap the cord around the jar, attaching it intermittently using hot glue (you can use decorative string instead of a cord).

5. Teraz dekoruję słoiczek przyklejając klejem na gorąco szydełkowe gwiazdki i półperełki (gwiazdki można wyciąć z papieru lustrzanego lub innego dowolnego).

5. Now, decorate the jar by attaching crochet stars and half pearls using hot glue (you can cut stars out of mirrored paper or any other material you prefer).

6. Na samym końcu wycinam kółko z białego kartonu i przyklejam od spodu słoiczka żeby było ładnie wykończone (nie jest to konieczne).

6. Finally, I cut out a circle from white cardboard and glue it onto the bottom of the jar for a neat finish (this step is optional).

A to już gotowy lampion.

And there you have it, your lantern is ready!

Oczywiście nie byłabym sobą gdybym zrobiła tylko jeden. 

Wykonałam więc w wersji złotej i srebrnej. 

Który ładniejszy?

Of course, I wouldn't be myself if I made just one. 

So, I've created versions in both gold and silver. 

Which one looks better?

Takich lampionów można wykonać kilka i będzie to idealne uzupełnienie dekoracji świątecznego stołu. 

Czy nabraliście ochoty na zrobienie takich lampionów? 

Jeśli tak, to nie pozostaje nic innego jak zjeść jogurt, a słoik przerobić na lampion. 

You can make several of these lanterns, and they'll be a perfect addition to your Christmas table decorations.
